Happy Valentines Day

The greatest LOVE we will ever know is LOVING ourself!  AND that is not an easy LOVE to have.  I feel for the majority of people it is easier to LOVE other people.  We see in other people more clearly things we LOVE and we do not judge others are much as we critic and judge ourselves.  So often we are even unaware of the self sabotaging we do to ourselves.  The key to this is to work on it.  Make LOVING yourself a priority!  LOVING yourself is as important as eating healthy and getting exercise.  For some reason many people feel it is selfish to take time for yourself and yet that is the ONLY way you will be able to nurture yourself.  So many people today are out doing things to show someone else how much they love them if you can today and as often as possible (ideally everyday) do something for yourself to show yourself how much you LOVE YOU!  It is so true that you can not LOVE another until you LOVE yourself!

Acts of Kindness

I had someone special to me do a very sweet act of kindness last night which got me thinking about acts of kindness.  It amazes me how some people are so kind and I must say those people genuinely like to do kind things for others seem to be happier in their demeanor then people that do not do random kind things for others.  I wonder if we should be actually encouraging young people in school to do kind things for one another to naturally encourage and teach them to be kinder.  Obviously you never want to force someone to be kind that kind of takes away an important part of it but encouragement at a young age may stick and maybe it would naturally pay it forward to help people as a whole be kinder to one another.  I think it would.

Shipping Containers are like GOLD

WE are addicted to items made for less in other country’s and everyone of those items has to get to America. Most of those items come here via Shipping Containers. Shipping Containers are the answer to so many questions. They can be recycled into an even greater purpose once they are done bring “STUFF” to us. They can be used to build houses as well as other strong structures. They are the perfect building material for areas that are difficult to get to like Alaska, to tropical regions where building supplies are limited and the weather systems can be dangerous like the Caribbean. We are even seeing sustainable architects recreating them in to orphanages in Africa. So next time you see a container you might see be surprised how it is being used. Well I am off today to speak at the National Portable Storage Association Conference on how these beautiful containers can be Modified in a Sustainable Way.
